No -- a writ is an order given by the court.

A writ of attachment is a court order to 'attach' or seize an asset, usually because of a judgment in a civil case or because of restitution in a criminal matter.

The write is issued by the court to a law enforcement officer or sheriff, who proceeds to serve the writ. It's not a felony, because it's done by the court, pursuant to a legal judgment.

A writ of attachment is a court order for law enforcement to seize property of a defendant when they were found guilty in civil court and have to pay the plaintiff. If I was the winning plaintiff I would want to get my money that the courts decided for me. I'm not sure why you would think that this is illegal or felonious....

no, a WoA is when you have a judgment against you that you either failed to appear in Court or lost to the plaintiff in Court. The Writ is to attach a selected item or items of/in your possession to pay for the judgment or place a lien on your home to get there funds at a later date.
You could also loose money in the bank drawn by the sheriff of the county to pay for the attachment, plus his costs to travel to the bank and strip your money from said bank.
an attachment of your automobiles, jewelry (don't wear it until over), you can loose alot of PP until this is paid for.

A felony is a major crime. A writ of attachment is issued by the courts involving ownership of something. They're not even related.
