Absolutely. My best friend has ALWAYS been there, even when the issues with which I was dealing about ten years ago drove everyone else out of my sphere of friendship. True friends are there all the time, not only when things are going well. Not only did this person remain my friend, but he offered to help in as many ways possible and he did NOT hit on me, which was, and still is terribly refreshing in a male friend.

a true friend already is in my world and does NOT WALK OUT when things go wrong and the bad friends do .
If he walks in he would be a friendly stranger

A true friend will support you even if s/he doubts what you are doing is right. S/he is not afraid to tell you that you are wrong, but will stand by you till the end no matter what you decide. When you can tell them something you cannot tell anyone else, and never have anyone else know. A true friend is a precious gem you never have to fear to lose because it is kept in your heart.

Most assuredly I agree. A true friend listens to your deepest and darkest thoughts. They sift them with loving hands keeping the good and with the breath of friendship blows away the bad.

True friends are like the pillars on your porch, sometimes you lean on them and sometimes they lean on you.
I agree, I love that quote.

That's an intersting way of putting it, but it's not always the case. I do, however, agree.
