Jeg's automotive has an adapter plate for spread-bore and square-bore carbs. I had 2 get one for just the opposite, Q-jet carb on a Weiand intake.

for a heavy stock'er with iron manifolds use a 525 to 600. for a lightly modded engine with headers 650 to 700 for best response . if your not sure get a holley 650 spread bore with vac secondary.

if your going to get an aftermarket carb to fit your stock intake you need to get a "spreadbore " carb..... but a 700 to 750 cfm carb will work good
