I am getting the world of warcraft game for my birthday. Should I install burning crusade after I have played wow for a long time? Will I appreciate it more if I do that or will it be the same?

It would be the same. I mean unless you get a warlock and two players in Outland to summon you to Outland, it really would be the same thing. All the new stuff that's given to all players with TBC are within patches, meaning, you dont need the expansion to get those things.

If you want the 41 talents, you can get them, wouldnt be wise since you can only level to 60, with a possible 51 talents, so you can only put 10 points in another talent tree, that would be strange. The things in TBC dont really impact the old Azeroth a lot, people still quest and level the same way. The newer abilities all come after level 60, and the talents wont make sense if you try to reach the deeper talents with only 51 talents.

One thing you might benefit from getting TBC at the begining is the ability to play dranai or blood elf, the two races added with TBC, their early content (1-20), is a lot more fun than the other race, simply because they're new.

What I mean is, if you level from 1-60 without TBC, if you dont want to play those two races I mentioned, then it's ok. If you want to do anything after 60, you gotta buy TBC, because no one does the old end game content, not when you can solo quest items that are the same or better, the old end game content mainly take more than 5 people to do, and are extremely hard to players that dont know what to do, also, without TBC you cant level beyond 60, which would be a pain. Before everyone was 60, so it was ok, now everyone's 70, and if you're stuck at 60, that wont feel fun.

Installing Burning crusade shouldnt spoil the game since most of the stuff that BC brings is near end game ( level 58-70) The only stuff that BC will bring in the beginning of the game is the new races- the dranei and the blood elf. So installing BC when your first get it will hardly change the game

The only things BC adds to low level players is two new player races, and the gem crafting profession.

If you don't want to use either of those, you can skip BC until you are about level 50 and not miss anything at all. The majority of BC content that doesn't involve those two things above starts around level 55-59.

World of Warcraft is a very impressive game. It is great fun to play, entertaining you and challenging you at the same time. It has strong characters and rich environments, with the game world of Azeroth existing as its own convincing, distinctive universe. It is visually appealing, with a charming, sublime look to it. There is a great deal to do and a lot of variety to the gameplay. It moves well and is always interesting.
