2000 Dodge Stratus ES 2.5L V6 Engine

When my check engine light came on Auto Zone said it was misfire in cylinder #2. The engine light is still on but when I reach 50 mph-60mph the car becomes hesitant and the engine light starts blinking.

What is causing the misfire?
What price range am I looking at to correct this problem.

The misfiring problem could be a lot of things...few examples:
- Spark plugs
- Spark plug wires
- Coil pack
- Ignition module
Your engine light is on, it means you have hard code. When the engine light start blinking while you already had the engine light on, you may have a soft code which means you have another problem only when you reach 50 miles/hr (soft code). A new code over an existing code wold make the check engine light blink before it stays on. However, if you have clogged injector #2, you wouldn't have enough fuel pressure, and the car would hesitate at certain high speed...try some injector cleaner.
Do a tune-up if it's due. Otherwise, check your spark plugs and wires. Inspect the coil pack.
If you have one of the problems above, it shouldn't cost you more than $100 parts not included.
Good luck!

this could be alot of issues, undesirable cam sensor, cramk pos sensor, transmissin matters, ya gona ought to pull the codes for some theory, hit motor vehicle zone and that they are in a position to drag the codes for loose

you could have a bad spark plug or wire, and its possible to have a bad fuel injector. your price range from $30 to $150 plus depending where you go and what is truely wrong.
