It means Kill New York City, folks. A principal at a New York City school, aimed at Muslim Children, sold these t-shirts. She resigned, thank God, because a lot of Americans got PO'd. Liberals appear to think having these kind of people living in America is just dandy! What say you? Is it just Dandy to allow someone to use the 9/11 attack on NYC, and America as a propaganda tactic towards children to make them believe killing Americans is spot on!????

I saw a story about that on the o'riely factor last night. I'm liberal and I couldn't agree more that was a very distasteful thing for her to do, I don't think her resigning is enough I think she should serve time for doing that if you ask me..

UPDATE: Ok the point im trying to make is that if she wanted to wear that shirt on the street than thats her right, but to have school children wearing them is not right because schools arent supposed to impose violent ideas on children..

Here is what the woman says it means to her.

She said the shirts provided an "opportunity for girls to express that they are part of New York City society ... and shaking off oppression."

This is despicable and she should be out. I don't think this woman has anything to teach children but Muslim politics.

OK, sure the translated definition is "shake off", but like so many words in our English language it may have its own slang interpretations, whether it be regional, racial or otherwise....maybe we should hear from someone that's from the region Intifada originates, to see what their interpretation is, and if their are other derogatory or slang definitions. Let's get all the facts here.

No, It doesn't.

Look up the definition of the word "Intifada"

* shaking off or overcoming fear or illness
* sudden waking up from sleep or unconcerned status

So, the literal translation is "Wake Up, NYC".

And the contextual meaning is to stop being afraid, and stop being blind about what is happening around you.

But sadly, reality doesn't mean much to people if there's a way to turn this into a good fear-mongering.

Yes I agree America needs and should know these things and yes Wake Up America. Look I believe some things in life are worth fighting for. And I mean literally. What are you willing to fight for? Ask yourself. Please though don't persecute.

I heard this story many times on the news, that school needs to be shut down and never be opened again.

Free speech is only free when it agrees with what you believe, right?
