Extremists who believe Obama is a Muslim already don't like him, some because he's Democrat, some because he's black. They are looking for OTHER reasons to dislike him or smear his name. To believe that he's secretly a Muslim justifies the stand they've already taken, so they WANT it to be true.
They're of course wrong.
ETA: To the ill-informed above me--Obama has NEVER been Muslim. It's always been public knowledge that he's active in his Christian Church (the Trinity United Church of Christ). Here, I'll provide the link. Way to be informed....

Anyone who believes that claptrap simply WANTS to believe it because it makes for good slander material. Any reputable source on his early life will give you the real details on his upbringing and his becoming a Christian, and the fact that he never has been a Muslim. If people want to know the truth, it's there for them to read and find it out. Those who push this b.s. have their own motives for trying to slander the man. I think it's pathetic to tell you the truth, and I'm not even an Obama supporter.

Obama didn't even know his father, who left when he was 2 years old. he was born and raised here with his grandparents and his mom.
His father was born from a Muslim family, as most who live in Kenya are Muslim. The Kenyans are not radical, and have never been extremists.
That aside, Barack's father came to the US on a scholarship, and was a professed Atheist. Anyone who new him in college, knows that Barack Sr. was an Atheist. It's a fact.

The man says he a Christian.
I personally don't care what religion he is.
Some ignorant people think people are born of a religion.
People are born into a family that CHOOSES to practice a particular religion!!
Anyone can choose what they want to be or not be!IMO!
EDIT: People saying that Obama is a Muslim do so because they honestly believe that Muslims are trying to convert the world or rid the world of non-believers!

evaluate the place the Obama's have been receiving their religious coaching: in an African-centrist church below a Black Supremacist pastor, who Obama refuses to repudiate. Obama is obviously at a loss for words concerning a great many stuff. This week we "discovered" that he has attended TUCC for 20 years yet curiously has no longer been listening, because of the fact he denies ever listening to the Rev. Wright say something racist in the previous. provide ME A destroy!

I guess it's because they've never checked. Obama attends Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ on a regular basis from what I read. What I question is his hypocrisy in accusing other Christians' getting taught politics from the pulpit. Here is a description of what his church is like.
"The roughly 8,000-member church has often championed liberal causes, from gay rights to opposition to the Iraq war. It also emphasizes its African roots and asks parishioners to accept the "Black Value System," which includes tenets such as "commitment to the black family," "dedication to the pursuit of education" and one critics have seized upon - "disavowal of the pursuit of 'middleclassness."'
His controversial pastor whom he is very close to said this about himself.
"Wright also told The New York Times in an interview published March 6: "When his (Obama's) enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Tripoli" with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan to visit Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, "a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell."

I am a American Citizen, born in this country, raised and educated in the United States of America.
I believe in this country.
I have served my country.
The founding Fathers of this Great Nation fought and bled for all Americans to have the right to practice whatever religion he or she chooses.
So why does it matter what religion Obama chooses to follow?
It really is none of our business,
The true issue is and should be his politics, and his ability to do the job if elected!

He attends a Christian church regularly, and doesn't attend a mosque nor does he practice the Islamic requirements of faith.
Many people think he's Muslim either because his father was, or based solely on his name -- in other words, guilt by association.

He attended a Madras, his father was Muslim, he lied about it or covered up the connection depending on your view of him, the church that he goes to is classified as Christian, but he has started to distance himself from them because of their segregationist racist requirements for membership that have caused some concern
I don't know where he stands as far as faith
I know he has voted for across the board on every liberal issue, even more than the much derided hyper liberal Hillary

According to the radical muslim crazies, if you leave the muslim faith, you sign your own death warrant. Obama claims to be a Christian but muslims are not threatening him.
