S Should South Korea form good relations with the Taliban, since they r planning to release 2 females unharmed?
The Taliban kills two innocent S. Korean men and because they are supposedly going to release two sick females....should they be rewarded for that?! Should the S. Korean government give them a pat on the back for being good little boys?!

My opinion is....make the deal. Get the prisoners back.....then bomb the hell out of the Taliban!

Gee, the way the question is worded kind-of predicates the answer, doesn't it?

Re-write the question in more neutral language to get a better sampling of responses. This is first semester logic and rhetoric.

The Taliban should not be rewarded, but missionaries of all types should be punished. This is kind-of a no-win situation.

Both groups in this case are heavily at fault, the Taliban for obvious reasons, and the missionaries for aggressive disrespect of other people and cultures (true of nearly all missionaries).

I have met some of these South Korean missionaries while in western China (not these specific individuals, but others like them). They proudly informed me that they had lied to the government to get into the country, were not doing the aid work they had claimed that they were going to be doing, and that they spent most of their time telling people that they were living their lives wrong.

They told me this because it was obvious that I was another foreigner, and thus considered safe to talk to in China.

Since this is the kind of thing that missionaries do, and because of the problems and innumerable deaths they have caused throughout history all around the world, it is in the best interests of people at large to deny missionaries access to anyone.

NO!!! The Taliban are a bunch of terrorist, obviously because they captured peace workers as usually, no one should ever form good relations with them. The heros overseas fighting this war building Iraq and trying to promote peace in that region know what they are getting themselves into we should never bargain with terrorists in order to save lives!! There is a bigger picture here and it's called planet earth.
