1. (f+h)(1) = f(1) + h(1) = 7 + 6 = 13
©
2. (k-g)(5) = k(5) - g(5) = 30 - √2

3. (f∘h)(3) = f(h(3)) = f(2) = 4

4. (g∘k)(7) = g(k(7)) = g(54) = √51

5. inverse of f(x) = {(5,3), (4,2) , (7,1)}

6. inverse of k(x)
y = x²+5 ... y-5 = x² ... ±√(y-5) = x.
thus inverse of k(x) =
√(x-5) , if x ≥ 0 for k(x).
-√(x-5) , if x < 0 for k(x).

7. 1/f(x) = {(3,1/5) , (2,1/4) , (1,1/7)}

8. (kg)(x) = k(x)g(x) = (x²+5) √(x-3) , x≥3.

(f + h)(x) just means f(x) + h(x). The info you were given tells you that f(1) = 7 and h(1) = 6. Therefore, (f + h)(1) = 7 + 6 = 13.

f is a function, and (1,7) in f means that f(1) = 7
Likewise, h(1)=6

(f + h)(1) = f(1)+h(1)=7+6=13

i'm going to take a wild guess...

f= {15,8,7}
f=840

h={6,12,6}
h=432

(f+h)(1)
=(840+432)(1)
=1272(1)
=1272

hope i helped
