Is it only the fact that Bush calls himself a Republican, that makes on-the-fence conservatives defend him?

It is the mark of a true a**hole, who was elected by other a**holes. He drove his own business' into the ground, and doesn't mind sticking future generations with a huge bill to have to pay off.

By doing this he can let future Repugnantans claim that it is Social Security that is bankrupting the country.

(Once they can get rid of S.S. then money hustlers can force old people into poor farms like they did in the past, and get their greedy fat hands on the property they owned for nothing.)

Both true liberalism and conservatism believes in balancing the budget. Liberalism will do it by increasing revenue. Conservatism will do it by decreasing spending. But neo-conservatism believes in decreasing revenue and increasing spending by trying to say that it will ultimately lead to more revenue. Which of course goes against economic common sense.
Edit : charbatch is the perfect example of a neo-con advocate for such idiocy.

NEOCON

IF you notice, half the people who voted for him do NOT give him an apporval rating. And I suspect most of the other half only barely give him an approval rating, thinking he has still done more good than harm.

Wow. Someone here doesn't even understand how our government works. Congress does the spending - the Dems are in control.
Thanks to Bush tax cuts, we now have record revenue. Thanks to Democrat Congress spending, we now have record spending.
Your questions are nothing but ignorant, inflammatory hate speech.
