You'll want to use 1/4 teaspoon of the water conditioner. I would keep no more than 4 guppies in a tank of that size. Some more simple advice for beginners to the hobby can be found here http://www.fishtanktutor.com as well.

When I use dechlorinator that says "use 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons of water" I just use about 5 drops per gallon. Anything more tends to be too much and can sometimes cause other negative chemical reactions--plus it wastes your products and money. I keep the empty plastic jugs store-bought spring water comes in, put in the drops and fill the jugs up 'cause they are 1 gal. Then I let them sit overnight--partly to let the chemicals neutralize what they need to but also to bring the tap water to room temp (which is pretty close to the tank temperature). Also, then if something happens, like I need to start an emergency new tank or container, the water is already treated and ready to go.
For a 2.5 gal. tank you can probably have 3 female-only guppies, doing at a minimum weekly tank cleanings and water changes. 3 male guppies will probably harass each other too much driving each other crazy until they get sick and die. Male and female guppies will breed and within a couple of months you're small tank will be overcrowded. Plus it doesn't give the babies enough room to hide. And guppies need tank space to swim in--10 gals. is a better idea.

Well, as 2.5 gallons is 1/4 of 10 gallons, you would add 1/4 teaspoon. Guppies are like rabbits, where you have 2, you have 100. So, 2-3 of all the same sex is all you really can have.

Since 2.5 gallons is 1/4 of 10 gallons, I would use 1/4 teaspoon. 1-2 guppies is all the 2.5 gallon tank is going to hold, and, you
need to make sure they are the same sex, because, um, they are prolific breeders. If this is your first tank, and I'm thinking it is by the questions you are asking, may I offer you some tips that I learned the HARD way, by losing a lot of fish??? First of all, get a bigger tank when you can--a 10gal is better, but the bigger the tank, the easier to care for, if you really enjoy aquariums. DO NOT overclean your tank. When the water looks murky, it is time to clean. DO NOT clean tank with soap and water. Save about 1/4 of the water from your aquarium in a bowl with the fish in it do not pour it all out--your fish are building their own environment. Clean the tank with white vinegar and water. Rinse well. Fill the tank 3/4 with fresh water & replace fish & water out of bowl. If for some odd reason you should have to stick your hand down in the tank to replace a decoration, fix something,
BEFORE you do, wash your hands/arms that will be in tank with vinegar and water and rinse well. Your body oils will kill the fish. Do not tap on glass to get fish' attention--it will give them ick--a disease that makes them look like they have salt crystals on their back--from stress--it will kill them. Fish can get all kinds of diseases--they sell meds at wal-mart for your fish. Make sure you get a ph test kit and test your water weekly, adjust as necessary. I learned all this from a man that had aquarium shop. It worked for me for 10 yrs.

P.S. maximum kits dont incorporate a stand and the stand can value approximately as lots because of the fact the tank

Id say a couple of drops. There are lines on the side that you can refer to to see how much 1 tablespoon is. Divide 10 by 2.5 5 and you roughly get about 1/5 of a tablespoon. I normally just estimate...

1/4 or 0.25 teaspoon will correctly dose your tank.
As fr the guppies, I would suggest you keep no more than 4 males in the tank and no females. You wouldn't want them to breed in a small tank.
