They joined a school of fish, and there is a water polo team. They would like to enrol, but I am hesitant: they bring such low grades from their swimming lessons! They do not practise their strokes, misbehave, and play tricks on other fishes. What should I do?

Give them their chance at water polo. You just might see a change for the better in those triplets. They will soon find out that they should've practiced their strokes etc. cause they will need those strokes to play polo!

Well, alot of fish have low attention spans, so I think having them join the water polo team is an excellent way to motivate them into learning their swimming lessons and strokes.. it gives them a clear goal, to defeat the other waterpolo team..

I would insist they get their grades up before they join the team. Swimming well is imperitive for doing well at water polo. As for their misbehaving, I would consider taking away their TV privileges.
They should really want to try harder if they aren't allowed to watch "Flipper".

OK here's what you do to make the stronger swimmers:
get a small fishnet put it in the toilet bowl put the fish in the net and flush (make sure you are holding the net firmly).
do this once or twice a week till the become stronger( by having them swim for there lives)

Wow that's a tough one cuae ya know water polo can get very expensive. First they'll start wanteing goggles and n new fins and stuff like that. And before you know they start wanting their own seahorses.

Maybe their bored with the swimming lessons. Maybe this is the challenge they are looking for. I think they'll do just fine.

Just get them some seahorses to ride. They are only young once. Let them have fun while they are still little fries.
