hi i saw my ex at a bar the other night hooking up with some girl and im not gonna lie, it did bother me a bit. after he hooked with her we spoke like the whole night...and then he calls me the next day and we spoke for a little and he ended it by saying "keep in touch". i know what keep in touch means but i would like to know if it has any meaning when an ex says it. also, why did he call me the day after he hooked up with some girl?

Only you would really know that, what do you think. When you say hooking up, was it a casual conversation, a public make out session or did they disappear for enough time to be doing something more interactive?
Is he looking for friends with benefits? or is he wanting to keep the connection open because he likes you as a friend. Men can do that whole lets be friends thing straight faced if they have disconnected from the deeper relationship that we thought we had with them.
I'd say run like a running zombie is chasing you.

Keep in touch in that context usually means let's not show animous, but I'm moving on. If you talked for quite a while the night before, he may have felt he left the wrong impression and wanted to make sure you understood he was going his own way, hence the "keep in touch" comment.

Girl, stop it now. Don't even think about him anymore. Find something else to do. If he calls again, make it seem like you have better things to do than to talk to him.
If you always answer when he calls, he will always think you are still into him. Find another guy to have fun with, it doesn't have to be a boyfriend, but just a guy friend to have around and fill the empty space.

It means he would like to keep you around for a little while but he will probably wait for you to make the move. That way if you call him, then he gets what he wants and if you don't, it's not really a big deal either. For guys, this is a win-win.

Well you have both moved on and a males ego is a pretty strong thing. So for you to walk in while hes about to get lucky is a good strike to the male ego and he called you just to validate that he is available or not, and that he did see you. So just incase you didn't see him hes making sure you remember.
Keep in touch was just a way of saying goodbye and click.

You seem to still love him, may be he loves you too. Forget about other girls and... try to anderstand if braking up was a mistake. were you happy with him? do you want him back? what was good and what was bad? could it be better if you were more patient or understanding? sometimes you can try one more time but if you parted because of something that haven't changed. Try - you'll see what happens. May be you'll be ok together. It happens sometimes. Looks like you both still love each other. Good luck.

first of all its ok and guess what just because hes your ex does not mean he still does not like you as a friend i know a girl who has an x and he still come in her house and they have coffee and everyones happy....i just think he just likes you as a friend that what it means..all my friends say keep in touch.
