Individually, yes, there is intelligent life on this planet, but as a species, we're completely hopeless. You either get used to it or ignore it. There's not much we can do at this late date to change that sad fact.

Homo Sapiens by its own definition is intelligent....however I suspect your question is rhetorical and meant to be argumentative - try the philosophy section.
