I have found a Sparkle GeForce 8600 GT / 512MB DDR2 / SLI Ready / PCI Express / DVI / VGA / HDTV / Video Card, and im wondering if it's any good. Also, can u tell me what type of motherboard it would be compatible with. My motherboard has a PCI-E slot on it, but im wondering if thats all you need for this card to be compatible with your PC.

Thanks,

Good enough but not that great. The factory overclocked versions with ddr3 like the ones here are pretty awesome:

Remember, 256mb ddr3 beats 512mb ddr2.

your using agp 8x card . (that's slightly previous) . 450w or extra ability will basically be needed for extra advantageous overall performance vgas that are compatiable with pci convey slots . for the reason that your card is agp its going to be orite . to your expertise i had a prior pc a pair of year in the past which i ran a three ghz lga intel processor , 2 gb ddr 2 ram , with a 8500 gt 512 mb pci convey vga card with a 350 w ability furnish . so to your equipment i assume 4 hundred w is extra advantageous than sufficient . so no concerns .

Any motherboard with a PCIe x16 slot will do fine.

Because the videocard is so big, I'd be sure the case design gives it adequate cooling.

For mobos, I recommend Asus and Intel, two of the best. A Soyo employee told me so.
