why do some people say that when they are explaining something?

Because, well if your really passionate about something, there are some strong feelings being shown, and they want to know someone feels the same. I.E., it's no different than when a female looks into the eyes of the she loves, and asks "Do you love me?", it's surely because she is deeply, madly in love and wants to know if he/she feels the same..............I think....maybe this was too much, I am sure you intended for something funnier to be said huh? Yeah me going overboard again....geez....will I ever shut up.....
