Doctors calculate a woman's due date as 40 weeks after the first day of her last period, but rarely is a baby born on its due date. ;-)
Most come within two weeks before or after that date without any health problems or complications whatsoever. (Except, perhaps, a really fed up woman who's 42 weeks pregnant!)
