Both fish and fishes are correct and are used in different ways. A group of 10 guppies would be said 10 fish, while a group of 5 guppies and 5 swordtails would be a group of 10 fishes.

that's fish. Fishes could desire to basically be used once you assert some thing like "She fishes all day and night." For some reason fishes has unfold around, regardless of the undeniable fact that it's not the nicely suited use of being plural for "fish." that's in basic terms consistently, fish lol.

The normal plural of fish is fish, as in he caught two huge fish; however the older form fishes is still used when referring to different kinds of fish: freshwater fishes of the British Isles.

The plural of "fish" is both "fish" and "fishes". Either is acceptable. Just like the past tense of "dive" is both "dived" and "dove".
