if you look at the stats its pujols no doubt. except for ichiro he has by far the highest average but he also has huge power totals that ichiro doesnt have. A-rod has a lot of power numbers but his average is rather pedestrian for this list. also pujols has played very well in the postseason every year unlike most of these playes. this also includes his rookie season where for everbody else it includes their prime years...and on top of everything he has played three different positions and is now a gold glover at first base

Any answer besides Barry Bonds is a foolish one.

Since 2000 he's broken the single season record for HR's and walks. Has 4 MVP's and 2 batting titles. Led the league in OBA 5 times (and is leading this year also, SLG 4 times, OPS 4 times (and is leading this year), BB's 6 times (and will this year), Int BB 5 times.

He was the most feared hitter to ever play.

Why is Andruw Jones up there?? He sucks!!! I would have to go with Luis Castillo, one of the most underated players in all of baseball. He has hit .342 since 2000 with 23 Home runs and 287 RBI's, and 231 stolen bases.

This proves once again, how stupid the Twins were to trade him and get practically nothing in return.

Albert Pujols no doubt. Considering this includes his rookie year, his stats are even more amazing.

David Wright has only played for like 3 years so he shouldn't be considered and Chipper has been injured too much to be considered as well.

I like the question but of the people you named, I think it would be Ichiro becuase he plays ball and thats that. He dont get his name brought up in any media talks to be bashed on or anything. But my answer would be Edgar Renteria. He had one bad year for the Bo Sox but he is a great player offensively and defensively. I love Chipper but he has been injured to much to be considered everyday.

Look at Ryan Zimmerman of the Nationals, he doesn't get the hype like David Wright or A-Rod but does a nice job.
