I know what you are saying, it just didn't come out right. I do that all the time.

People with very high IQ's have so much going on inside their head, they let other thing go. The material things, the mess they leave, their appearance etc.

Professors, scientists, entrepreneurs, etc.

Oh my! Are we generalizing here? I believe so!

I am 52, I hold high degrees and my IQ is quite high, thank you very much!

I am 5'1 and I weigh 103! I still do karate and kickboxing! I own a 3300 square foot home and it is three years old. My house is impeccably clean! My body is impeccably clean! I own two cars and both are nice vehicles! Probably, nicer than yours!

So, fat slob? No, I am not! Smart, yes, I believe the records show this! As for material things, I have all I want or, need. However, let me let you in on a little secret....BIG DEAL! They are just things! But, nice things!!

In as much, please do not insult others because of some mindset you have! You cannot put people in a mold and make them all the same. No way! Who would want us all the same? But, this type of stereotyping is uncalled for!

You shot yourself in the butt girl with the fat slob bit. How demeaning! I still have a genius IQ at 62 and hmmm, in 1992 I decided to be a nomad, to do this I did not need a semi full of 'stuff' following me around. I called the kids and they all came and shopped in the goods--when it was done I called friends and they shopped--the rest I sold or donated. I don't regret it in the least, and I still have a car and a life I just don't have all the excess stuff. Fat slob, not even!!!

I don't know what you consider High....and I have no idea where you are getting this info....seems to me that the really smart people I know are all doing very well. My IQ measured "high" at one time, and I am sure it has slipped considerably as I have aged, but I have lots of material things (I don't place a lot of value on them), have too many cars (they get me there and back), and I have a very nice home (today, the mortgage company will take it back in a second if I miss the payments)...

I knew a man with a high IQ. He wasn't a slob. Material things just were not the most important thing to him.

Don't you think your question is rather general and non-specific - kind of global. I'm sure all people with high IQ's are not like you describe. I mean, look at Bill Gates, the MicroSoft guy. I doubt he's a genius, although he may be, but I'm sure his IQ is probably pretty high. He's sure not living in any pig sty.

A real fat slob, huh?

You are just so erudite. Full of wisdom. A joy to be with. And a friend to all.

And you obviously resent coming from a lower I.Q. status.

Yes, as the others have said, that is a sterotype; but, in my case, not fat, but high IQ and not that much money; but, mostly because I have been more interested in other things than lots of money and fancy cars.

My IQ's 148, I'm a broke college student, and I have an hour-glass figure...although I have to admit, I am a bit of a slob, lol.

Nasty? Jealous? I was a member of Mensa. I sold my nice home and moved to Florida where I look at the ocean every day. I have a nice car. I have a nice retirement coming. Don't stereotype.
