The distance is not really big, I guess about 30 minutes walk. And the tram from the van Gogh museum will pass Anne Frank house within 10 minutes walk. If you think that either is within your abilities ask at the van Gogh museum which tram is the best, and which stop to take. Bring a city map to help you navigate.
This map you can zoom in and search for addresses:

They are not so far from each other. The bus you could take is 170 and 172. For the trams you have to change and walk a bit. Trams 13 and 17 for the anne Frank house and 2, 5 for the Van Gogh. See the 'Lijnenkaart' below (GVB, Amsterdam) or 9292ov.nl (all public transport)

The 13, 14 and 17 all go by the Anne Frank House; 1, 2 and 5 go by the Van Gogh. You'll need to transfer, best done at the Central Station.

No tram. Anne Frank house is positioned at a canal. Just cross the canal and wait till a sort of minibus comes along with the name Opstapper (which means Get on get off) it is an official bus. It stops when you wave your hand. Ask the driver to stop at the Leidsche straat. Walk from there in three minutes to the Van Gogh.
If you are staying more then 4 days buy a pass. How etc email me
