Isn't it funny how the word "politics" is made up of the words "poli" meaning "many" in Latin, and "tics" as in "bloodsucking creatures?"

Lol, I first saw that joke on the net probably around 15 years ago. It was one of the more popular .sig quotes. It's funny because it's so very true, though.

The version I usually see goes like this:

Politics (n): from the Greek "poly," meaning many, and "tics," meaning blood-sucking insects.

How hilariously true!! Even back then from the Greek and Roman influence they knew to refer to these "Politicians" as the choice leeches that they are!!Full of lies,deceit,and dishonor ....exactly in that order too!!
