Nickel, maybe ten cents. He was never a particularly noteworthy or popular player, and fans have seen his entire career. He cannot do more on the diamond.

This is morbid, but true: the time to sell cards of a deceased non-star player is right after his demise, especially if he is (was) an active player. It is unquestionably his last time in the headlines, and the memorabilia market acts irrationally (people will spend stupid-money), but it only lasts a very short time, 2-5 days at best. Ghoulish, sure, but it is purely capitalistic cashing in.
