Last night I started to have a little bit of bleeding,Im 6 weeks pregnant. I called my doctor and she said to just take it easy and not to panic and wait till Monday to be seen by anyone. I just miscarried in April,so I really didnt want to wait two days wondering,so I went to the ER last night and they said the blood was old blood and I have no active bleeding and my cervix is closed,so I was kinda relieved. Today I woke up and my pad was full of bright red blood and there was clots too and I have mild period cramps. I know that i am probably miscarrying, but has anyone had this happen to them without miscarrying? Im not in severe pain or anything, and I heard when you miscarry, the pain is severe. I had a missed miscarriage in April and had a D&C,so I didnt experience an actual miscarriage. Sorry this is so long.

Here is my experience, I hope that it helps! I spotted at 5weeks, then 3 times more.... The last time was 16 weeks and it was a good proper bleed!! Each time I flipped out! I had no cramping or pain, my cervix was closed... All of my blood levels normal and each time baby was ok with heartbeat. The ER docs tried to figure it out to no avail... My OB did all kinds of tests and ultrasounds only to come up with the conclusion that all was well. She explained it just may be "sloughing" or, nothing at all. Unless you have painful cramps, heavy bleeding (enough to fill a pad in an hour), bleeding with blood clots or bleeding with a fever, I would try not to worry. Some women just spot during early pregnancy! If you have any of the above symptoms go to the ER immediately! I know it's hard but any time I stressed about it, it just got worse! The only thing my OB told me not to do was have sex until 12 weeks. After that when I bled at 16 weeks, I was told not to have sex for 3 weeks. Other then that, just try to take it easy!
Very Best Wishes!

If you have red blood with clots, you may be miscarrying. You also may just be having a period while you are pregnant. You do not have to have severe cramps to miscarry, that depends on how far along you are but I would take the pad with the clots with you and go to the doctor immediately to double check. If you go to the ER again, ask them to call your OB doctor because you wish to really clarify this and they are really the only ones that can truly tell you if it is a miscarriage or not. They have to honor your request and then he can have them run any necessary tests you may need to prove it. If it is a miscarriage, then you may have a condition like my daughter has that doesn't allow her to carry babies beyond the first trimester because of Pegesterone levels dropping in the body. That can be checked out so that you can have a successful baby because if it is true, then they give you pegesterone to take once you are pregnant. I hope it isn't a miscarriage. They are hard on us emotionally.

sorry yes it does sound like a miscarriage Ive been through it twice so i understand how you feel i think whats happened is you only miscarried in April and well your body was not ready yet to carry another baby
it happened to me that way you need to give your self a few months before trying again the longer you wait the better chance of carrying to term
there's still a chance I'm wrong but if your clotting then that's never a good sign

i did go on to have 3 beautiful babys so don't give up trying
sorry

There is a chance you could still be pregnant. I have been pregnant 9 times , I ha 1 miscarriage , 1 still born fetus, and 7 living children. With my 8 yr old I bled for 3 months. and with my 2 yr old I had a bleed out and I was 4 months pregnant. The main thing is to stay calm and on bed rest til you are seen again. Don't make any assumptions, do as told til you get a confirmation from a doc. you don't want to mess up if you still are preg. Take care!

I miscarried in 2002 and I had the same exact symptoms that you are having now. I wasn't hurtung or anything like that. It started with light red blood (almost looked watered down) and I went to the doc right away, then about a week later the heavy flow started and even contractions. That's what hurt, not when it started....I suggest you go to the ER right away.

what you need is an ultrasound to see if there is a baby in there or not and if it is alive. sorry to be so blunt about a sensitive topic, but that is the bottom line here. some early pregnancies have bleeding and turn out fine, others end in miscarriage. but you really need to know whether you have a viable pregnancy or not. sounds like you are having quite a bit of bleeding, more like a miscarriage, but no knows without the ultrasound to look at the pregnancy. at 6 wks, you should be able to see it if this is a normal pregnancy

i miscarried 2 years ago - also a missed miscarriage. im now 40wks+4days preg.

when i was 5.5weeks with this pregnancy, i bled, went to the hospital, they scanned me and also said it was old blood, and that if i continued to bleed and if it got heavy like a period then there may be a problem.

dont let yourself think the worst though i know its not easy, get back to the dr asap and tell him whats happening and that you need a clear answer.

good luck

my friend had that and she didn't miscarry, she had detachment (the sac)so she needed bed rest for about a month, you better go to the ER and check it out. I wish you all the best.
