I had to call the fire department two weeks ago after a grease fire started in my oven. It was pretty dramatic -- there were two squad cars, a fire truck, an ambulance, they opened up the fire hydrant, and all the neighbors came to the nearby corner to watch.

It was out before they arrived, but they stuck around to check things out, and open up windows. After the responders left, we went to get some dinner and also let the smoke clear out. When we came back, we heard from our neighbors that there were rumors that somebody was taken away in an ambulance. I got one measly picture of the ordeal. I'll post it when I have a chance.

Nope, I'm a good southern cook. Ya'll should come on over for some fried taters,
pinto beans, corn bread, and iced tea some
time.
