My mom died when I was 3 my dad when I was 5. I still tell them every night in my prayers how much I love them and how I still miss them. pray we will be together again one day.

Everyone should tell their parents and all of their family just how much they care while they have the chance. Living almost all of my life without mine I so wish I had the chances to tell them how I felt the way most other people do.

Dobie I'm crying right along with you. It still hurts so bad.

Love you mom and dad. I hope I've done a few things at least to make you proud.

My mother is still with us, thank God, and yes I do tell her I love her!! I think she knows I do. My father is no longer here & I do miss him terribly. As I sit here typing this tears comes to my eyes so that alone says how much I miss him!!! Sure I wish I could see & talk to him again!!!

My mind drifts back over the years, the daydreams, the pain of being so alone--lost--I let my mind fill in what reality never knew--My Dad.
I pictured a Dad in his favorite, overstuffed, well-worn brown chair with me as a kid on his knee--hugging, smelling of someone who is aging. Not good really, but to me, his child, it's sweet.
He laughs with me, teases and in younger days ran along with me. He is older now and has to stop to rest. I know time is lost and Dad is fading. He is leaving-- my fingers try to latch on to his as his hand slips from mine and then my vision of him is gone. Oh, how I long to touch his face again and savor his sweet smell. My heart still sees, hears and feels for him as though he is really near...and then my tears fall for the man--the dream--the desire of my heart--the one I've never known--My Dad.
For those of you that still have parents or have had parents, count your blessings because there are still many that have never had them. Perhaps that is why we are admonished in scripture to visit the orphans. There is an empty spot in ones heart for a parent. God bless and thank you for the question. Mmm
