Work is the connection between Man and Matter , the spiritual and the material . Even people who do not NEED anything will voluntarily do some work in one way or another .

I retired nearly two years ago, and after the first month I didn't reget the decision, BUT it wasn't an easy choice.
I am in good health and really enjoyed my job. It was satisfing and fullfilled a need to be useful (yes getting paid was a plus). Now that I don't have that committment, I've delved into my next "career" of writing full time. I've been writing for years, but now I can concentrate on the other aspects that build a writing career, promotion and marketing.
Advise: only work at a job-- ANY job that you enjoy, no matter what the reasons. WORK becomes a four letter word if its something you get sick thinking about.

I work as my profession allows me to follow through on my beliefs about the world and receive financial compensation for the services that I provide to others.
Finances aside, I spend 7 hours a day helping others in a variety of ways. I do what I enjoy and found a way to get paid to do it. The financial reasons are similar to those stated as well as providing for my retirement.

At the moment I'm unable due to illness, although I try to write or create something every day. I have to be passionate about what I do. Getting money to pay off bills, however, is as good a reason for most folks as any. However, if they don't have passion in their work, I urge them to find it in others ways such as volunteering or hobbies.

My work is in school and I just go there because it's the stupid law. When I'm older I'll be working as a comedian and a bowling coach because it's fun and it's a job I'll enjoy doing. School sucks =(

For money that I can use to have good time, and to have fun. I'm a teen, do haven't got a carrer, but I want to get a job where I can enjoy what I'm doing and make enough money to live on. People say to get a job where you can make a lot of money, but what good is money if you have to get up in the morning to a boring, nofun job and have no time to use it to have fun with your friends or family?

Only for the money. I don't get much pleasure out of working anymore. I am making money to pay for college, to get a better job, to, in the end, make more money... funny huh?
