Who in America has claimed moral superiority? I'm an American, and I certainly don't claim any moral superiority. I truly believe that some of you in the UK, at least by what I've seen on Yahoo Answers UK, have invented this image of the United States which grossly inaccurate. I just don't understand the hatred towards Americans that you have in the UK.

If you ever visit the US side of Yahoo Answers, you'll realize that we're not over here bashing other countries, or claiming any kind of superiority.

I am an American, and nothing gives us that right. However, I completely disagree with what almost everybody here is saying. The vast majority of this country respects the rights of others. However, the people who don't usually talk more- a LOT more. We don't really claim moral superiority-our politicians do. They feel that it's a dog eat dog world, and there's always somebody out there who wants to be the superpower. Which, in a sense, is completely true. Look at message boards across the world. American sucks... Americans should go f-ck their sisters... America is for b--tards. Why do people do this? Simple. Their countries don't have the power of America, and wish that they did. Although many of them don't realize that this is the case and try to pin it on something else, this really is why. Americans don't claim moral superiority for the good of the world-we do this to help our country, as any other human would.

they spend double the money that the rest of the world combined on defence alone and you dont wanna mess with'em.
