Okay, I am assuming that if you are asking this question you are noticing something wrong, like odor. Many women get a foul odor, it is an overgrowth of normal bacteria and needs to be treated with medicine if it's bothering you. If you are noticing itching then thats yeast and need to be treated with monistat. Many times people try to douche but it just messes up the PH of your vagina abd makes the odor worse. If this isn't what you were looking for than soap and water is fine!

soap isn't good to wash ur private area with. just pour a nice amount of clean water in a container squirt one lemon in the water and put a little vinegar they help 2 kill the bacteria in ur private part

If you like having yeast infections stay away from douches as a form of hygiene i only use them once in awhile and only after my period.....douches will upset the ph balance in your Vagina and make it a perfect host for bad bacterias.

also stay away from scented soaps BIG BIG mistake those also can give you a bad time just like douches.....find a mild unscented soap and wash gently your labia and vulva and rinse very well. don't stick anything scented in your vagina and you'll be fine.

Also...stay away from scented tampons and pads.....that is the stupdiest thing that was ever invented.

no no no.
Listen!!
You must not use soap, or any shower gels etc, as these change the natural pH level of the area, and once this is changed you can get all sorts of bacterial/fungal infections, (e.g thrush) etc etc etc.
So not a good idea!!
The best is to use a product that is made for that area only, i like to use a product called 'fem fresh', can buy it from all supermarkets (i buy it from asda!!)
its not expensive, and it has a nice subtle odour, leaves you feeling fresh and clean, and definitely does not alter the pH and won't give you any problems or infections.
If you want to feel clean and not harm yourself then you should get it, or something similar!!
Hope this helps!!

Just like the rest of your body, soap and water when you shower. Some people use douche, but I don't because I heard that if you use it too much then your body will lose it's ability to cleanse itself.

Good old soap and water. Don't be afraid to go down there with either a pouf or a washcloth loaded with soap. It might burn a little, but it'll come clean.

Douche once in a while.. not too much though because I heard (from girlfriend) that it's no good.... Keep cucumbers, pickles and beer bottles out of there.... And make sure you wait at least three days before switching to the next partner... and if you have more than one at the same time... please make sure that at least one is wearing a condom
