I have wound a bobbin and have put it in the bobbin case. I am using the hand wheel and threaded needle to get it to pull through the plate and it just will not come up! What am I doing wrong??

Are you sure you have the thread pulled through the right slot on the bobbin, and is the bobbin placed in right? Hold your needle thread and turn the wheel, it should come up.
Good luck. I have sewn for years, can be fun till these things happen and you get frustrated,

How To Catch Bobbin Thread

Be sure you are pulling the bobbin thread up and out of the bobbin case far enough so that the top thread and needle will catch the bobbin thread and pull it out.
The bobbin thread has to be up far enough to lay across the feed plate so the threaded needle will catch it.

Since it's worked before and has just begun misbehaving, it's probably not a timing issue. I'd strongly suspect that the needle isn't facing the right way -- try a new needle and follow your manual again to make sure you've got it in right. If you can watch your bobbin while stitching, you might try turning the handwheel through a cycle to see if you can spot what's going on in the bobbin area.

Spin the hand wheel the wrong way lol if not then try flipping the bobb over and it helps to hold the tip of the thread in the needle while you do it. Best of luck and have fun sewing =]

Bobbin is in wrong or you did not advance the thread.
