I've witnessed this in other successful/well-off people and in myself. I'm not successful, yet, in the work sense, but I'm pretty well off, happy, and like to dress well, and I like fashion. So when I go out in public, I do like to wear current clothing, etc.

What I noticed are a few things.

1)Some retail workers would roll their eyes, and just look frustrated or sigh, upon me entering their store, and be more rude/mean to me at the checkout counter.

2)I'd get dirty looks, or "whatever" types of gestures by other people as they walk by me, at a public place, such as a mall.

3)(this is a funny one), If I'm driving parallel to someone, sometimes that person upon making eye contact with me, gives me a dirty look and veers to the lane next to them.

4)I get my car purposefully vandalized

among other things.

I mean, I just like to go out there and be the best person I can be, in ALL ways, and people don't seem to like that.

They hate on it.

Why?

Also taking the focus away from myself, other people that are REALLY successful, and I don't mean just celebrities, get hated on constantly and put down.,

Don't those haters, realize that it takes alot of hard work, constant motivation, craftiness and skill just to be able to do what these successful people do daily?

Also if they look well made up, it takes money, good taste, and well,.many things?

Why dismiss things that obviously deserve respect?

Not everyone has success thrown into them.

It's funny because you can spend your whole life trying to succeed, and once you do, more people may hate on you than before, and you could find yourself with less friends and a more miserable life.

If you're on the bottom, people call you a loser.

If you're towards the top, it's not any easier (socially).

Human beings suck.

Oh so it's snobbish to try to be well off, successful, and dress well?

Well EXCUSE ME for not dressing in sweats, pigging out at mcdonalds, and being down on my luck.

Forgive me. Maybe I'll try to be a follower and fit in with everyone else, rather than be proud of myself.

I didn't ask for a judgement, I asked for a response.

Anyways, hopefully your response keeps getting the thumbs down and eventually I can report it as spam :-D

Have a wonderful day.

Dear, people dont have respect for ANYONE any more...that is jus the way it is...if they had any class at all, they would treat everyone like they were worth millions...no one ever knew my i.q, or my talents and abilities, because I always treated everyone with such high respect...I admire people who are self made,..people just get jealous, because you represent the person they wanted to be, and couldn't because they didnt try or don' know how...you be who you are, and God Bless!

I think I am with the first poster on this one. Just the way you have stated your question seems to imply that you think you are better then those that are less fortunate then you and believe me if that is what you believe IT SHOWS IN YOUR ACTIONS. So maybe an "attitude adjustment" is not such a bad idea. Lets be honest, there are cruel people in the world but people's cruelty is almost always in response to someone else's cruelty. Someone vandalized your car, suggest that you are not as innocent as you want the people here to believe. Have a great day :)

Well, from just reading this statement you seem to be really snobbish. Perhaps you should treat people the way you want to be treated and not be so rude to them or even smile and say hello. I am in college and on my own now but when I was in high school, I was in a very well off household. I also like to dress nice and I have never experienced any of the things you say you have. Maybe you need an attitude adjustment.

This is not normal, people do get jealous of each other but your case seems different. Do you think really highly of yourself or maybe your attitude is not right?
this is totally not about being a well off person, it is something else.

Do unto others as you want others to do unto you. You pass judgement on them, you just did in this post, and they will pass judgement on you. My husband owns a multi-million dollar bussiness and we never get treated the way that you do. So maybe it IS YOU.

And to everyone else, remember there are always two sides to every story.

I feel your pain..... Though I'll admit I like to openly insult them should they try to do that to me. :) They wish everything went smoothly for them. Don't you just hate it when you didn't do anything to them they'll do something dumb just to feel better about theirselves? By how you posted, I bet some person is gonna say something like "maybe you need to change" or "attitude adjustment" when he/she obviously don't know you well enough or in real life.

There'll always be losers like them, so if I don't like them, I'll insult them allll I want in any way possible. :D

Wow, and some other peeps in here considers you bad already by merely reading your question. Psh... Just how does one know one's attitude by reading? And one even claims it's actions that shows and making assumptions about your personality. Pitiful. What is wrong about her saying well off/ successful persons? She didn't mean as of means to higher herself, if one can read it well. She did state that to be successful requires self-efforts, so how does that sound bad to you dorks when she only questions these certain people she faces? Some just really, really need to stop pointing out someone else's behavior just by reading what they type on computers. One cannot know what another is like unless you get fully acquainted - like hmm.... instead of being assumptive just by reading like a doofus, meet this person in real life. :)

you are not at fault here, this is an evil world my friend, filled to the brim with people that are lost and have warped, twisted minds, devoid of morality...all you can do is what your doing, which is being true to who you are and do what god intended you to do, live your life.
its not your fault people have a problem, they suck, not you. to hell with them. your doing everything right. whoever created us all is happy with you.
