God, how awful. If the body is indeed that of Natasha, my thoughts go to her family and friends. I just hope that she didn't suffer. Whoever did this needs to be caught asap and take responsibility for their actions.
Just a thought, as press coverage of missing people is obviously dependent on the cases "sellability", wouldn't it be an idea to have a regular TV programme, along the lines of Crimewatch, once a month or so, to publicise missing persons cases? If the programme followed the same format as Crimewatch and was an hour long, that would be a great amount of coverage for the Missing Persons Helpline, and would surely result in more cases being solved.
Regarding the Media, and their interest in cases like this being fairly obviously based on their public interest quotient, I recently read about the case of Hannah Williams, who disappeared around the same time as Milly Dowler. Milly's case had huge amounts of publicity because she was from a fairly privileged background, but because Hannah was from a single parent family and had been in trouble with the law before, her case was not given the press attention that Milly's got. I am ashamed to say that I had never heard of her before. There is a link here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Hannah_Williams
But I think the most telling bit is this:
"An anonymous Kent police officer was quoted in The Guardian: "There are serious questions to be raised about the original missing persons investigation. This is very sensitive, but if Hannah Williams had been a Milly Dowler, she may not be dead now."
So, a missing person case's publicity does obviously depend on how many papers will get sold. Does anyone else find this as appalling as I do?
God Bless Hannah Williams, and God Bless Natasha Coombs.

They said on the news earlier that they were expecting the body to be identified as Natasha Coombs' and the ex-boyfriend made an appeal for information.
Very sad story, no good ending.

I think because Natasha was virtually an adult, and so much media attention has been given to Maddy McCann, and not because she's blonde and white but because she's a child.
I regularily looked for updates on Natasha and I am saddened and angered that yet another young woman has been killed probably in a stranger attack. Bring back hanging I say, and the sooner the better.

Read earlier, that the parents have been informed that a body has been found. Not seen up to now that the body has been identified though as the missing girl.
My heart goes out to her family, what a horrendous time this family is going through not knowing if your own child is alive or dead.

I think it is an absolute bloody disgrace that we can't let our teenage girls out without some disgusting person taking them, doing goodness knows what to them and murdering them. My daughter is only 7 and i am already dreading the day she comes and asks me if she can go out on her own with friends.

Heartbreaking. Only 17, she should have had her whole life ahead of her. My deepest sympathies go to her parents.
How can anyone do something so evil? I hope they will catch the b*stard responsible.

there are so many missing teenagers out there, almost always, the only one's who get media attention are the one's whose parent's are constantly trying to get interviews and press conferences and are paying to have special investigators. it's really sad.
