I watched the movie-Order of the phoenix-yesterday. And i am really dissapointed in it. i can't believe it is so lame. Right, so i haven't read the book yet, but it's still so lame anyway. i don't understand the movie at all. I realise that some of the characters, like draco malfoy and the slytherins, quidditch, the big hall.... all that, was pretty much left out. I never expected the movie to turn out like that. i like harry potter , and was truly disapointed.Plus, the movie was soooo short.
Guys, and girls, what are your opinions? For those who had read the book, how was the story? What about the movie? What are your opinoins on harry potter? what are your opinions on magic? sorcery?

~*I Totally agree with you,I have read the book and the film was nothing compared to the book,I was hoping to see Ron play his first quidditch game, But there was no quidditch at all!!,For people who haven't read the book, it must have been very difficult to understand what exactly was going on!*~

All I can say is when ever you can get a hold of a copy of "The Order of the Phoenix" to READ it. You see back in 2005 I used to think that Harry Potter was kind of cute, but not worth the hype, the movies although fun I didn't really like that much. Until, I met my boy friend's best friend who was a complete fanatic, and so I borrowed his copy of "The Goblet of Fire" which was the first Harry Potter book I read. Needless to say the movies yes, even the good ones can't compare to the books. After reading GoF I went out and bought 1-5 except for 4, and read threw them, that June I was in line in at the midnight release of book 6. The Order of the Phoenix is like 800+ pages to big to turn into a movie really without screwing it up, I did enjoy the movie only cause I got to see some of my favorite scenes from the book brought to life but, it was really jerky and boring at times like they were just trying to stuff everything in without really trying to explain it to the audience, but as a film it was bad and unlike movies 1-3 you get very little out of the movie without reading the book.

Not my favorite book nor favorite movie. I told my friends if you haven't read the books you won't like this movie. You just don't get why Harry is do angry and it was such a long book they had to leave out so much detail. On the plus side I did like the visual effects and thought the battle scene at the end was good.

I thought it was the best since the first movie. They left a lot out from the book though. I like pretty much everything that has to do with Harry Potter except for the board games. Magic is awesome.

It was terrible. Considering that OoTP is my favorite book out of the series, I may be a little critical, but still-- people who haven't read the books are even saying that it was the worst of the films so far. It seemed as though they skipped to all of the important parts, then just sped through those as well. They introduced characters-- Grawp, Kreacher-- , then didn't ever show them again. What the hell? I could go on for days, but my point is: It sucked. Read the book.

I only read part of the book, but they did leave a lot of things out. If someone hadn't read the book and saw the movie, they'd be confused. They left some explaining out on who people were and such, and they could've been better on that. But I thought it was really good. The special effects were great, too.

Wow, you thought it was lame? I thought the special effects and everything were actually really good. But I thought that it was bad compared to the book... they left out some details that are gonna show up later on in the next two movies. I liked the movie, but it could've been a lot better.

I liked the movie. Of course, the book is always better. At any rate, I thought it was short, too, but how long can they expect people to sit still? Theres a lot in the book (that I thought was important) that didnt show in the movie...still, I thought it was well done and the special effects were pretty cool.

the book was great but the movie suck. the movie murdered the story of the book. its essence was lost. the importance of the prophecy wasnt emphasize enough. and i hate the way they keep on abruptly changing the scenes in the movie.

I don't watch movies where people flies around on a broomstick. Haven't watch it and I'm planning on keeping it that way
No offence, but fantasy is just not my type. I hate magic movies.
