Mushrooms are a sign your lawn is healthy, some are even beneficial, storing water and sharing nutrients with the grass. They decompose thatch into nutrients, think of it as composting in place. They are like icebergs, most of the mushroom is below the surface, so if you don't like the sight of them just kick'm, pick'm or mow'm. either.... you have a batch of underground roots of a long forgotten tree under your soil that are now decomposing (since you're adding so much water and the heats on!) or the soil/compost that you ammended your soil with in anticipation of the new grass was heavy with wood bits and mushroom spores that are now growing happily.... like the other poster said, all's well... just keep the kiddies from munching on them... kick'em is good...
