If a person is convicted of a horrible crime that would cause the jury or judge to sentence him or her to death, I seriously feel that the person should be executed by however the victim or the victim's family choose...hanging, needle, hanging, electric chair, shooting squad, etc. That in my mind would be the best way to carry out the death sentence. Furthermore, if a victim or victim's family does not believe in the death sentence, then the criminal should not be sentenced to one.
I feel that, when a person commits such a horrible crime, he does not value his own life and would actually benefit from being sentenced to death...the easy way out. I feel that it would be much horrible to live in a prison for the rest of your life, being raped or tortured by other inmates. Undergo psychological testing, testing for different products (so they don't test on animals, lol) and submitting to whatever painful medical testing that needs to be done.
Or they can come work for my boss, that's punishment enough, too!

The death penalty by lethal injection , at first you get one that knocks you out like before an operation , so that is pretty easy. Some would say a life locked in a cell is worse.
But for some killers if you read crimelibrary.com , burning at the stake medieval style would be too good.
thats of course if there hasnt been a miscarriage of justice but with modern DNA its unusual, but there are some convicted people especially in the states where prosecutors have not presented all the evidence just to secure a conviction.
Im mean leaving out something that could exonerate the accused, is tantamount to falsifying evidence in itself as the jury would need the whole story and sometimes they dont get it.

I think that the method of death should be as those that they killed did--for instance, if a man raped and beat a woman to death, then he should be raped and beat to death as well. If a man shot someone, then he too should be shot. If a woman has killed her children by drowning them in car, then her a s s should be drowned in a car too. Eye for an eye!!! And they need to stop taking so d a m n long to kill them after they have sentenced them to death!!!
I am very disappointed in our death penalty system--my husbands mother was murdered in her drive way, a man "snapped" after drinking and drugging all day, and shot two other women and a convenience store clerk, my husbands mom came out of her home (in a mobile home park) and this man shot her when she tried to go back in the house--he has been on death row for 13 years!!! And he is still appealing--after confessing to the crimes, after leading police on a chase and surrendering!!! The average length of time a criminal sits on death row is 19 years!!!! Why should I or the VICTIMS families have to pay for these criminals!!!
Sorry about the tangent--this question just hit close to home!

Well, I don't think the government should have power over people's lives and deaths, or even long prision sentences!
If the death penalty was needed they should be sent to an island where they form tribes and supplies are flown monthly! If they can escape they deserve to go free!
However, if you must ask, I suppose to noose(hanging, sudden death!) or the guiliotine! (even quicker!)

The quickest most humane way. As far as I know, lethal injection seems to be the best. I wouldn't sink to their level by wanting them killed by the same method they killed their victims, if they are a murderer. I would derive no satisfaction from torturing someone, and wouldn't expect an executioner to have to do it, either. In fact, I wouldn't want to live in a country where paid officials were willing to torture anyone.

Hanging, in the most humane way. Neck breaks, they go unconscious. Hanging seems the most appropriate form of execution for a crime deserving of death.

Not that it could ever be possible, they should die the way they killed. So that they could feel the pain and fear and whatever else they inflicted on their victim. Eye for an eye and all that.
Like the animals that murdered the three college students in NJ.

I have no opinion. Simply because I have no power. I think murdering those who murder is wrong. We should be way past the times of eye for and eye. But I also do not believe we should be paying for them to spend he rest of their lives in a correctional facility. They have cable, and internet in some of those prisons! Why?!?! They are supposed to be being punished! JEEZE! I have never been very political, I do not understand a lot of it. But I am still young I suppose. I have time to get my opinions set!

I think the convicted should get the same thing they did to the victim. An eye for an eye.

It is never okay yo kill someone, whether it is a rogue citizen or the government that does it. The killer is wrong but but killing the murderer does not make things right. All first-world countries have outlawed the death penalty except for the US and I think it is about time we become a civilized society.
