What would be the best way to travel to Manhattan from Niagara Falls?

So far I found three choices.
Airplane - too expensive.
Rental Car - 7 hour driving...hmmmm
Amtrak - only time i can go on is 3am

so far amtrak is my choice..but i am worried if its safe, as its 3 am ride and for 10 hours. I will be sleeping throughout..

any suggestions?? THANKS!!

Think outside the box. Go down to your local private airport and shmooze the boys. Hitch a ride on a private plane going in your direction. You meet a much better class of people than you do hitching on the roads. Its fun too! If you have the time and any personality at all this never fails. good luck!
