Depending how PG yu like yur romance Shannon McKenna is an awesome fast paced read with brooding guys. Also Cindy Gerard. The characters are all connected within books so if you like it or a character there is always another book to get that you know you will like. I devour these books. If you like a certain book look for the publisher and then go for that publisher when finding other books. You can actually search on library catalogues for books by specific publishing company.

I write romantic suspense and they are available at the library. Other RS writers you may enjoy: Karen Rose, Roxanne St. Claire, Brenda Novak, Lisa Gardner, Cindy Gerard, Annie Solomon (who recently won the Best Romantic Suspense for the RWA Rita awards.) I also love the JD Robb IN DEATH series by Nora Roberts.

I love romantic suspense too. One of the best ever was
Come Midnight by Suzanne Forster. OMG it was awesome, but it's out of print now, I'm pretty sure. It may be at the library but if you have a good used bookstore you can probably find it there. After that, Brenda Joyce, Catherine Coulter are my favs.

Try Nora Roberts. I can't think of any titles off hand. I have read a load of her books though and she has some that are just romance and others that have a suspense thrown in. My fav is about a socialite jewel thief and the cat burglar the FBI sets to catch her.

I don't know what age group you are in, but if you are between 13 and 99, the Twilight series is amazing. The third one was just released, and it is being compared to HP7. Although it is about vampires(suspense) it also has normal life in it, and, yes, it is so romantic. The series is Twilight, New moon, then Eclipse. (by stephanie meyer)

Well, this isn't your average, run-of-the-mill Harlequin romance, but Daphne du Maurier's "Rebecca" probably fits the description of a romantic suspense novel. (Although it is also a direct descendent of the Gothic novel, such as Bronte's "Jane Eyre".)

A young wife must deal with her husband's brooding nature and the malevolence of her housekeeper. There is a mystery behind all this, of which the young woman is unaware. (I won't spoil it for you.)

"Rebecca" has one of the most famous opening lines in all of literature: "Last night I dreamed I was in Mandeley again." (Manderley is the name of her husband's manor house.)

Hope this piques your curiosity and prompts you to borrow or buy the book!

Try the works of Barbara Michaels, Victoria Holt, Philippa Carr, and I think it's Lori Wick.
I love Michaels, Carr, and Holt, and I read one or two of Wick.
