The first document required in such a case is the valid marriage certificate issued by the Marriage Officer/Registrar appointed under the matrimonial law under which the parties got married. Secondly there should be clear mention about the name of the spouses in each other's passport. Thirdly the documents which the Embassy/Immigration of the country for which the visa is required is the actual photographs & even the video recording if any of the actual marriage ceremonies between the parties. These are the necessary documents which are required & will be checked by the Embassy/immigration department for issuing the visa on ground of marriage.

You must be kidding!
Where are you and where is your wife? Do you mean, you are in another country and you want to know which papers your'll need to get her to you? For most countries, you need an attested marriage certificate attested by your country's embassy as well as the Minisry of Foreigh Affair's in the place you are residing (where you want to bring your wife). In some countries you need to have a minimum salary to get a family visa and so you will need a salary certificate from the company that you are working for showing atleast the minimum salary requirement to apply for family visa. Then you can apply for your visa, bring your wife to you and then she will have to take a medical within a few weeks in some countries and pass it before a resident visa is stamped on her passport.

I wonder if that answred your question or did you mean something else!

Your query does not convey at all that you are a married lady whose husband is working abroad, and you need to visit him or join him there to stay as spouse. Perhaps, it would have been better if you had given complete details so that guidance could be provided. But, you do need a passport and visa for travel.
