I read therefore I am. I have been a "reader" since I was like 5 or so...and have amassed copious amounts of books over the last 4 decades. Picking a favorite author is extremely tough. There are some tried and true ones that I'll read over and over again, like Jonathan Carroll, Salman Rushdie, Christopher Moore, Ken Follett, and literally scores of others. I enjoy discovering new authors a great deal, and probably read two or three books a week. I've seen Janet's books in the stores, but have never read one. Which one would you recommend as an introduction to her?

I love Bernard Cornwell. Favorite author by far.
But sometimes I am in a chick mood and so I grab something by Marian Keyes and read it. I think I have read "Lucy Sullivan is Getting Married" about twenty times... :-D "Rachel's Holiday" is also a favorite.
A really great book, which I fell in love with was "The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova. I don't usually like vampire stuff, but her book was irrestible.

Stephen King, "IT". This book totally freaked me out!!! Which is really weird because I love all the horror stuff. I had a Psychic episode during the reading of that book.My sister was visiting our aunt ,found herself in a dangerous, life threatening situation. At about that moment I felt very uneasy and panicky,so I went down the road to the kiosk to ring as we didn't have a phone at the time (we were living in Greece and our phone was not connected yet). She sounded pretty shocked because I asked her immediately if she was alright and then she started telling me abit about what had happened. This all took place at the moment I was reading the book!!! sounds strange I know but I'm telling you the truth. There's a connection.Since that time I read Magazines and lots of jewellery making magazines and books and Dr. Seus!!!!

I love the poetry of the old mystery writers, Poe, Doyle, Christie. The Adventure of Stewart. The way that Straub and King Capture the mundane of my Generation and turn it into
poetry. and Ken Follet, and Rice who tell great tales.

I love to read but I find it so hard to when I am in school because I have to read those books for school. I love so many books but if I had to pick an author that I read allot of there books it would be Margret Atwood, I love her style and she is so brilliant.
