I was about 5 myself.
Both of my sons started on simple things by 4 years old.

I was 3 making cupcakes at school for the birthday kid. Ill never forget the lemony cake batter.
At 9 I started making dinner for my family after watching cooking shows on pbs. Since then I cant stop creating in the kitchen. One of my fave hobbies.

About 4 or 5 I learned to make eggs first. By 6 I was able to make Chicken and boiled potatos and vegetables. My folks both cooked and both worked so I learned how to cook to have dinner ready when they got home. My sister also learned fairly early and she was there to help me because she is the oldest.

I must have been about 5, I would stand at the stove on a chair. My father taught me to cook, their were nine kids in the family, me being the oldest daughter, yet 7th in line. I enjoy cooking.

My mom would let us help bake cakes and stuff (including licking the bowl hehe) when we were idk 6 maybe and then I never really cooked because I can't cook anything until I was like 11 or so... I still don't really cook unless I want to or I make myself dinner but it's not like ribs or anything it's something simple like soup or cereal... so actually I really don't cook I wish I was better at it because I would love to cook!

I can't remember not helping my mom in the kitchen because she used to cater parties for extra money when we were little (she was a stay-at-home mom at the time) but I cooked my first whole meal for my brownie badge when I was 7.

11 years old the boy scouts got me started, to this day i still do the majority of the cooking around here.

I was 6 when i started..simple things and then slowly my mom showed me tougher things but now im 25 and i can cook anything you ask..if you want chinese, i'll cook chinese..if you want greek, i'll cook greek..if you wan indian food..i can make that too

4 1/2. the first thing i cooked with my mom was sweet carrot soup. YUM!!

I was making gourmet meals when i was 4. My parents were 5 star chefs so i grew up in the kitchen... literally.
