I'm so careless that I often forget to star. I should be ashamed of that but life's short. I've only learned to start taking notes at work so I guess here's another place where I should pull up my socks and start keeping track of things.
When I do it's after I answer the question though.
If I can't come up with a good answer I don't want my motion wasted.

I star for different reasons. Sometimes I am just interested in the question and want to make sure someone else on my network can see it to answer it. Particularly if I know that is their area of knowledge. Then I star to remind myself to go back and answer those questions. Sometimes I star after I have completed a question if there is a reason to. Sometimes I star just because the question just amuses me.
