My job asks that you do an exit interview to see why you are leaving. Do I tell them how I really feel?? I know they wont give me a good reference anyway, because I missed a lot of work due to a severe illness... yeah, they are mean like that. So, do I rip them a new one???

don't burn your bridges. blow em up!

if they suck and they aren't going to give you a good reference, then screw it and let er rip. it ain't going to matter because they won't listen to you anyways.

i've never actually heard of an exit interview. sounds like you have (had) a good job. I guess it is up to you if you want to tell the truth. I would say go for it whats there to lose

As far as I know jobs can't say negative things about their former employees, (i think so)

Don't burn your bridges! You never know what the future holds. Tell them you need new challenges, you want to perform different tasks... You know, a little bit of BS and a little bit of truth too, so they can do better with their own work environment. Make your critics "constructive criticism".

tell the truth but keep it civilised, they cant improve if they dont know whats wrong, but if you go nuts, they wont take you seriously, leave with dignity
