Well, they have very similar characteristics:
*opposing teams sit on opposite sides of the field
*several people in a mad rush to tackle each other when the "game ball" is thrown by the star
*there's always gambling on which side will make it the longest
*Several stumbles andfumbles occuring as the night grows on
*There will most definately be some scoring going on before the night is over
*Injuries are not uncommon
*While victory dances are frowned upon by the soberest of the community, they are still the most interesting part of the event
*You inevitably are going to have to sit next to that ONE person in the whole place that NOBODY wants to sit next to
*Both are enjoyed much more after imbibing alcohol
*Whoever wins the Super-event gets to go home with all the gifts
*The Chicken Dance WILL be played
*Eventually there is always the possibility that a member of the new team WILL be traded....

I would rather attend a wedding because they are soo sweet. They dont happen very often- football games are always going on. If it was between a baseball or football game then Id definitely choose football. I love football but I love weddings more though.

If I were in a position to make that particular choice, I would attend the football game (including the pre-game tailgater and the after-party at a nearby sports bar) and drink several $9 beers at the stadium. I'd have a great time and not even think of weddings.
And the why really is the important part, isn't it? Here's why: Football games are great fun. Weddings are at best dull and at worst misery-inducing. Life is far too short and precious to choose misery over great fun.
I would however consider attending the bride's divorce party in a few months. Those are also great fun!

Could I just skip the wedding and go right to the reception? there will be hundreds of pictures of the wedding and wedding party to see after the event, and that will be enough for me.
The reception is socializing with some people you haven't seen for quite a while and you get to meet new people, some of whom are very interesting and quite different from the ones you already know. The food is secondary, the drink thirddary.
Football is just a money maker for the schools ( the only reason I appreciate it),,don't like all the rough body contact.

I would rather go to a football game because weddings are becoming so long and elaborate. I love to see pair bonding but it gets old after a while. I know that the couple is deliriously happy but there have been times when I went to a wedding and came away unhappy. In football, at least there will be one winner, if you know what I mean? So many couples divorce and it is sad to remember their wedding. I have a difficult time reminiscing about my own wedding. Football is a chance for me to cheer and get crazy, and this reduces stress unlike a wedding that induces stress for me at times.

I am a girl and I like weddings, but I will have to go with a football game. I love football and this is something both me and my husband enjoy. I don't have to get dressed up and can scream and just have an all around good time.

Both can be fun. The wedding itself is really somber and boring, but the reception afterwards can be really fun. Football games are fun when attended with a large group of friends on a block ticket, as long as you get a loge area.
.
So why not have the wedding during halftime on the 50-yd line, finish the game, and have a real azz-kicker afterwards, especially if the home team wins.

The decision to work or stay at home is huge and can impact nearly every other aspect of your life. Forget about the money part.... no one can MAKE you do anything. If having an allowance of some sort is important, inform your husband that you will stay at home as long as you have access to a little money that is all yours and doesn't require any accountability. Otherwise, find a job. It doesn't sound like this whole thing was well thought out or discussed. Maybe you guys should try to start over.

A football game.
I've been to lots of both, and the thing about weddings is that, unless the church catches fire, the only thing anyone remembers (besides the betrotheds and their parents) is whether or not the food was any good.
Meanwhile, football games are rockin' the whole time, with two or three of my best friends. Also, I almost never wear a tie to a football game. ;o)
