MY HUSBAND AND I WERE TALKING ABOUT OTHER MARRIED COUPLES TO A FRIEND, SAYING HOW COULD THEY POSSIBLY MAKE IT FOREVER BECAUSE THEY HAVE SUCH DIFFERENT VALUES AND UPBRINGING. THEN MY HUSBAND SAID TO THIS FRIEND, WELL, LOOK AT US, WE CAME FROM THE OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE TRACKS, AND WE ARE STILL TOGETHER AFTER 13 YEARS, BUT IT BROKE MY HEART, THINKING HE IS BETTER THAN ME. WOULD YOU THINK I HAVE A RIGHT TO BE UPSET, WHAT DOES IT REALLY MEAN. I CANNOT GET OVER THE FACT HE SAID THAT TO ANOTHER PERSON WITH NO REGRET OR THOUGHT.

Well he loves you so he must not see it as a very big deal or he would not have married you to begin with.

Maybe he meant that his side of the tracks was worse? Maybe he thinks that you are better than him? I don't think you should be upset either way. Whatever he meant, he was complimenting your marriage.

You need to get the chip off your shoulder. It seems you think HIS "side of the tracks" is better. Geez, we are who we are.
