When should I get to the Today Show studios for a taping?

What time should I get to the studio? I know the show starts at 7am but I've heard you have to get there early. Are we talking 5am, 6am?

Also, if you've been there, where is the best place to stand on the plaza once you get in? Thanks!

I think what time you need to be there depends on what's happening on the show as well as the weather. I have heard that the audience starts showing up in the wee hours of the morning when there's a rock concert happening. For more information, you could go to their website and send a question.

The Today Show (NBC)

The Today Show is NBC's morning news and lifestyle program. The show, featuring Meredith Vieira, Matt Lauer, Ann Curry, Al Roker and Tiki Barber, tapes on the ground floor at the corner of 49th Street and Rockefeller Center. Fans gather outside on the plaza to watch and to try to snag time in front of the camera.

Location: 30 Rockefeller Plaza, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues

Schedule: The show airs Monday through Friday, from 7 to 10am.
