I pour a little olive oil in the container, spread it around with a paper towel then add the sauce. I also use that Cascade goo in the tube that Gin Martini recommends. It really does work. The important thing is, never reheat in that plastic - it'll cook the red right in. I just store mine in tupperware, but never reheat in it.

Cascade Plastic Booster 2-In-1 plastic cleaning something or another. (It comes in a plastic tube and can can be found next to the dishwasher detergents). Works great to remove stains as well as smells. You can use it with your dishwasher, however I put a small amount on a damp cloth and wipe the container with it. Works great. I bought it thinking I would be wasting my money, but was pleasantly surprised as to how well it worked. It does not take much.

Spray lightly with oil spray first. Then it acts as a barrier.
