I'm a christian. I can't speak for all christians because all don't feel as I do. (read that article about the church that decided at the last minute not to do a funeral for a vet who was also gay - not very christian)
Anyway, are you keeping the 10 Comandments to the best of your ability? You know, not killing anybody, not sommiting adultery, not coveting etc.... Do you worship God? Do you profess that Jesus died for your sins and is Lord? If you answer yes then you're a christian. Doesn't the Bible tell us that he who is without sin is to cast the first stone? Jesus said that when a group of men were going to stone a woman to death because she was caught commiting adultery...... Hmmm........... if Jesus can tell people to get over that and not judge then he can certainly accept you with any faults you may have.
jesus loves you honey and don't ever forget that and don't let anybody EVER tell you any different

I've heard both sides to this argument. I believe you can be a christian. My reasons are because God starts changing us in His time. I heard it before that homosexuality was the only abomination to God. As I started studying though I realized the bible says anything against God is an abomination. I'm not saying being a lesbian is right, because according to the bible it's not. So is lying, being a glutton, and so on. So I don't think that as Christians we should be telling someone they aren't saved. Only God knows your heart. Faith in Christ is the key to salvation. Good works will begin to follow. I believe that if you are starting to struggle with religion and being a lesbian it's probably the Holy Spirit convicting you on this. God will start doing a work in you but you have to want it too. I will be praying for you and God Bless!

Yes you can be lesbian and become a Christian, that is the fact and hope of accepting Christ as your personal savior. But in that acceptance he will begin a works in you along with the Holy spirit to change you are release you from bondage. The Bible speaks of this and it is a black and white issue. Homosexuality is not supported by scripture. We (Christians) should love you just the same just as you are.

I don't do chat rooms, but I do teach from the manuscripts.
Of course you can be a Christian. You are just exactly like me...a sinner. That means lesbian or not...you are a sinner just like all the rest of us.
THAT SAID:
A true Christian (or "Christ man") will follow the Word of the Living God. We call that Word when he came here in the flesh, Jesus Christ. He is the WORD out of the very mouth of God the Father.
So you need to do what all the rest of us Christians do: repent and ask God for the strength not to do the same sin again.
This is not a ticket to sin, repent, repeat sin, repent.
Repentance is from the heart; it is the serious notification to God that you know what you did was wrong and that you will do everything within your ability to NOT repeat the sin.
If your intention is to continue to live a gay lifestyle and profess yourself as a Christian, then your repentance is false, and you only fool yourself. God knows the heart, so conning him isn't gonna cut it.
Do you see how personal this whole deal is? Its between you and God, and I wish
you the best, but frankly you can only do this and it be real if you stop living the lifestyle thats against the orders of God.
Thats not from me, its from the God that you say you wish to follow.
the short answer is no, you cannot be a "lesbian Christian". Just like I can't be
a "child molester Christian" or a "happy that I'm drunk Christian", or a "I only steal on weekends Christian".
It won't fly. We follow God; we do not do it by our own terms or what feels good for us.
We don't get to write our own Bible, get it?

Romans 1
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.
27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

Although you may choose to live by the basic values and teaching of what is called Christianity as the same is often practiced today (but which is far removed from the original teachings and message of the rabbi, Yoshua bar Yoseph (i.e., Jesus in Greek), and although you may be a moral individual who strives to do what is beneficial for your self as well as for others, according to the teachings of the creator of Christianity (i.e., Paul) and his writings, homosexuality is condemned as are those who live such a lifestyle. The same applies to Judaism and Islam.
Those "Christian " churches / sects/ and groups that say otherwise have twisted the teachings and views of the earliest practitioners of said beliefs.
You can be a Buddhist. Basically all of the teaching are identical from a moral perspective, there is simply no recognized "god" that one must believe in although one is free to have a concept of a god that one may choose to follow.
May it all be well with you.

By all means, look for a chat room, but I can tell you now, if it helps, that you can be religious and a lesbian at the same time. God made you the way you are, and loves you regardless, right? At least, that's what I've been told by all the friends I've got that are lesbians and religious. Best of luck to you!

As you can tell by the "thumbs up" and "thumbs down" it really depends on which version of christianity you follow. There's a lot of flavors of that faith out there and *some are accepting of LGBT people.*

yes, absolutely you can be both. God created and loves us all...and if your church rejects you for who you are...I'd suggest finding another church. check out the links that Death has posted. Christianity is about love and acceptance, not hatred and intolerance. there are many accepting churches where I live...including an MCC.
I saw a bumper sticker recently that I thought quite fitting...."God created diversity, Man created bigotry. Who do you trust?"
