If you want to clean your painted walls use TSP trisodium phosphate... Available at most hardware stores.. Just follow the instructions and you should be all right...

A lot of that may depend on the paint that was used. Some will bleed with just using water.

Try Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. They tend to work on most walls for regular dirt like fingerprints and smudges etc.

I think it depends on the paint too but I use Lysol or wet ones wipes. They work great. Test a small area first.

I can suggest you try with sugar soap. You can find this in most hardware stores& of course painting and decorating shop´s
