You can't really get a feel for a team but sometimes you can get a feel for a player, like Marques Colston or Mike Furrey last year. Preseason is kinda cool because you get to see players go all out competing for a roster spot and every once and awhile they get one. I've also noticed teams with a lot of veterans usually hot dog it through the preseason the Patriots and Colts are notorious for that if you look at there records. Most people just have to watch the pre-season and hope there teams season doesn't go down the drains like Mike Vick a few years ago when he got his leg broke or Clinton Portis foot last season!

No the record dose not mean a thing if you want a feel no how a team is gonna do then look at how they do in the first half when the starters are doing. but the main thing the pre-season is for is for the game time situations the contact and the play calling it help the coach as much as the players. and for the back ups to eaither make the team or move up on the depth chart.

they generic approximately 8-8 even however some have long gone as low as a million-15 and confident the Lions 0-sixteen. there have been some that actual ended up with triumphing information. there is particularly no thank you to gauge how nicely a team will do by ability of their preseason checklist. So Whiner and Seahag followers are not getting too excited!

Its all about getting to see players in actual game play. Usually after the first quarter most preseason games as far as a competive game aren't worth watching.

Good Luck!!!

Another example, the Colts are 1-9 in their past 10 preseason games, but look at what they've done.

----Eric, I just asked a similar question, but didn't see yours first. Sorry!

It's just like getting the rookies in shape and the normal pros can get to play sometimes and have a good look at what these teams look like with the rookies and the pros.

preseason is more for coaches and management to determine who gonna make the final roster on opening day. they pretty much know who's gonna start. it's who gonna be their backups?
