Why is the available space being misread on my CD RW in Windows XP?

When inserting a CD RW with data on it I see the free and used space in MB, after copying to the CD RW I try copying
another picture and it then shows no available space and what
is on there is shown in KB instead of MB. What program would
cause this problem.

What program are you using to do your CDs? I have had some weird things happen with Nero and am just about ready to dump it. It is not compatible with Roxio at all or at least not the version that I have.
